 The second batch of Class V passed out in April this year with flying colours again! All the children pass the exam convincingly and a number of them qualified with distinction. We are delighted to learn that some of our students when applying for admission to middle school in the vicinity as well as in the city have been granted double promotions. The schools while admitting our children found them extremely proficient and capable of handling classes much higher than the sixth grade. This for us is the most satisfying information. It proves that our programme is being effective and making a huge difference in their lives.It's also a pleasure to see that parents are more forthcoming in sending their girls to school and have faith in us that we are genuinely trying to provide the best education under the extremely adverse conditions. They are grateful to Dipin for providing all facilities and being able to bring the best possible education system and teachers to the villages.It is extremely heartening to know that the community is finally coming forward to participate. We have been approached by one of our village Sarpanch to open a central school in their village. They have agreed to do all possible to help us get a two acre plot of community land to build our school. If this can be made a reality then we take our education programme to a completely new dimension. Sirohi Village School are the Dipin Cricket tournament champions 2011! An inter school cricket league tournament was inaugurated in January. All the five village schools participated in the tournament.All schools played each other and points were given to each winning team. Matches were fixed twice a week by the CPD coordinators Miss Rita Sharma and Mr.Subhash Verma who worked very hard with the children to teach and guide them.  It was for the first time our children actually played a game and interacted with children from other villages. There was lot of cheer and rejoicing. The final was played on the 7th of April in the presence of Chairman and Dr. Ilaria. After the final, an exhibition match was played between Chairman’s XI vs Trustees XI. The match was a spectacular event and all present including the village Sarpanch and elders enjoyed the day thoroughly. Sweets and Snacks were distributed to all and prizes were given to the winners and runners up. |
