Inner Wheel Club Pavia (Italy) has befriended Dipin Foundation since a long time. This year the marvellous lady members of the club have donated €1,500.00 for the purchase of six hundred uniforms for the children of Dipin schools.

At the beginning of every school year Dipin has to go shopping for its large family. Two thousand uniforms (two sets per child), one thousand pairs of shoes, one thousand school bags, and many thousands books, exercise books, pens, coloured pencils, rubbers and sharpeners. A substantial financial drainage all at once.

For the children of the villages, uniforms are not only the code of dress to attend school. Uniforms are the only cloth property they have. Children take great pride in wearing something that has been measured on their little bodies and tailored exclusively for them. It is an emotion of which we may have lost memory, but that we can vividly recall by looking into the children's eyes when they are presented with their school set.

Our school children and we all at Dipin Foundation are very deeply grateful to our friends of Inner Wheel Club Pavia for always being with us and sharing our passion for kindling dignity, hope, and joy into the heart of our pupils. Thank you, Inner Wheel!
