The acronym ‘EMPOWER’ defines our strategy and values - Enable, Motivate, Protect, Organize, Work, Educate and Resolve. ENABLE: We work to create the right circumstances to enable our rural communities to be economically, environmentally and socially self-sustaining. MOTIVATE: Our volunteers enjoy a trusting rapport with families and visit the villages daily. We spread information on essential good practices. Health and hygiene issues, social matters, child–rearing methods, technological advancements and global events are discussed. Our goal is to demonstrate the importance of giving back whilst empowering others to do the same. PROTECT: We aim to secure the all-round wellbeing of child and family. We employ safest practices for social, civic, economic and environmental sustainability, gender equality, community health and human welfare. ORGANIZE: Carefully evaluated holistic interventions are in place to help tackle impoverishment and foster gender equality towards a healthy and sustainable future. WORK: It is our commitment to work alongside rural communities in a participatory development process. DIPIN’s staff leads by example, inspiring through hands-on action and community learning. EDUCATE: We spread essential knowledge on health, hygiene and life skills, to promote sound mental and physical health. We actively engage in advocacy to eliminate the social, economic and cultural barriers to girls’ education. Our programs are inclusive, catering to children of all abilities, without regard to caste or creed. RESOLVE: We are committed to our goal of sustainable empowerment in marginalised rural communities. We are ethical and disciplined in our practices. We build trust and partnerships through teamwork, integrity and mutual respect and work together to help eliminate injustice and disparity. |
